Success for the AC Fencing Academy’s competition sessions at the World Championships in Rio

From Rio de Janeiro to Folgaria: Eight World Championship Athletes at the Folgaria Fencing Camp by AC Fencing Academy

The Junior and Cadet World Championships in Rio de Janeiro highlighted the talent of some of the most promising young athletes in Italian fencing. Among the standout competitors at the world event were Mattia De Cristofaro (Schermabrescia), Elia Pasin (Scherma Treviso), Maria Elisa Fattori (Club Scherma Jesi), Letizia Gabola (Schermabrescia), Cristiano Sena (Accademia Scherma Livorno), Riccardo Cedrone (Club Scherma Roma), Pietro De Gaetano (Roma Fencing), and Giulia Paulis (Fiamme Oro Roma), all of whom had the opportunity to compete against the best fencers on the international stage.

The experience gained on the Brazilian pistes represents an important technical and competitive asset for these young athletes, who have enjoyed a high-level season that earned them a place on the Italian national team at one of the most prestigious events on the world fencing calendar.

Their journey will continue in the new season in Folgaria, where they will take part as sparring partners at the camp organized by AC Fencing Academy. Their presence will give the young participants a unique opportunity to train and fence alongside athletes who have recently competed at a World Championship, bringing technical excellence, intensity, and a strong competitive spirit to every session.

The participation of athletes from elite fencing environments has always been one of the key strengths of the AC Fencing Academy Camp. This year will be no exception, with fencers capable of sharing valuable experience and providing inspiration and motivation to all participants.

From Rio de Janeiro to the pistes of Folgaria: a direct connection to international fencing that will make this summer camp experience even richer, more educational, and more rewarding for everyone involved.
